My fav of Milana. I posted it before in color. It's even more poignant in blk&wh, I think.

And now, more of China.

These were taken with my Sony point n shoot so they're noisy but who cares? It's the memory they invoke that's important.

One of my favorite things is the silouette of tree trunks - the more twisted the better.

Our Great Wall photo is so misty but it's the only one we have so it's precious.

This sweet face breaks my heart. She was so lost and scared.

But big Sis could crack her up even then.

I sure love my girlies!

The girls are so pretty in their Chinese dresses! And I love the China pics too. I should dig up some of mine and play around with the black and white conversion. Are you using Lightroom to do it?

The ones of the 2 of them together are so beautiful, wonderful black and whites. Also love the one of big sister making baby girl laugh...precious!

And as much as you love Lightroom, you will love CS3 even more...it's very different but can do so much!

Oh, the eyes just have it! AND their obvious joy and affection for one another. Made me *sigh*, in a happy reflective way.....such beautiful girls!!

AND I too just love that you sprinkle in China into each B&W Wed...I know in so many ways you probably feel you left a piece of yourself there...a kindred connection ~ these amazing photos take us all there with you each time!

Love the family shot & the two sisters sharing a happy moment on the bed! Pure bliss!

I cannot believe how much Miss Milania had changed in a few short months. She has come a long way from that shy and scared little girl you met in China!!

The pictures are precious as always.....it always brings a smile to my face to see your girls together. I absolutley love the family shot on the Great Wall.....misty or not, it is fabulous!

Hope you had a great day:)

How do you manage to capture those sweet moments - all I seem to be able to capture is the chaos :) The one of Milana - one of my all time favorites - I might have said that before... so beautiful! I really LOVE the China black and whites!

Hi, I'm Wanda. I am a happy woman, wife to Danny for...oh....lots a years and finally Mom to THE most adorable little girl from Hunan, China - Dahlia. And now we have been blessed again with another daughter, Milana, from Zhejiang, China. (The 2 best things I've ever done!) We live in the Montreal area. After a loooonnngg wait for Dahlia's little sister Milana (pronounced - Mee-lana, like banana), we finally brought her home in August 2009. Dahlia came to us in Nov 2004 (at 20 months of age)and a year later we began the application for another baby - at the time the waiting period was around 8 months. Almost 4 years later (say what!?!)we, at last, brought Milana home. This began as the story of our journey to bring Milana home and life with her big sister, Dahlia. It now continues as we live as a family of four!
God. My (growing) family. Hangin' out with my girlies. My wonderful friends (you know who you are!). To laugh (out loud and a lot!). Music. Painting. Hugs. Long chats with my buds. My garden. To read (ha...when I can!). Sunshine. Spring, Spring and more Spring. Building things. Cooking. Decorating. Parties (ahem). The internet. Life. Movies. A.I. Dancing with the stars. So you think you can dance. Travel. Umm..did I say laughing my head off. Oh Gee...everything actually!!
