Black and White Wednesday

Tulips......

.....in the snow?

Huh ??!?

Tulips in the snow - april27,2010 002

After the tease of a few weeks of glorious weather - warm, sunny with just a sprinkling of rain - the enemy has entered the camp again.

Temps dropped to below zero (that's below 32) and....

.....

it's......

snowing!

And just in time for Black and White Wednesday.

As snow is white and my mood is black.

Hey....I like to match!

the long road

Tulips in the snow - april27,2010 003

Poor little blades of grass, desperately trying to breath.

Tulips in the snow - april27,2010 005
Boxwoods....without a coat on. I shudder!

But my garden is of tough stock. It will survive (and the forecast is in the 60's tomorrow and sunny). So my sweet tulips might limp and suffer but they will rise to greet a new day.

Ahhh.....one stalwart soldier, daring to laugh at the wind and snow.

Happy Wednesday Y'all.

(I wrote this on Tuesday....but by the time this is read.....the sun will be shining again and my heart will sing. Tra-la-la.)

Saw it plastered on FB about the snow in Montreal. If it makes you feel better, it was cold and rainy and so windy today. I know I will see some trees uprooted tomorrow. :(

Nice photos though! :)

Go away snow! Well, at least it made for some really pretty pictures! It actually was chilly today in GA - what is going on? Should be back on track for a pretty spring day tomorrow.

The weather this year sure has been crazy. Spring has been late in coming this year to our neck of the woods and the weather we've been having lately is more like the tail-end of winter... has been for months now. And summer is just around the corner! Spring got lazy this year.

Oh sNOw!! Well, the only way I could stand it was that you shared better weather coming your way for today! You deserve every bit of those sunny skies and 60's.....what a fickle Mama Nature!!

The photos are gorgeous, just gorgeous!!

In my hometown (and most likely elsewhere) they call spring snow "the poor man's fertilizer" because as long as there's no frost, it can actually be helpful. Not so fun for those of us who are more than ready for spring, though! I am wearing socks and corduroys today, and really wishing it could be sandals and shorts!

Oh Wanda... I hope the sun popped its beautiful head out once again to warm your lovely tulips. I can't say we're experiencing anything like you have up in Canada. We have the opposite going on here. One day in the 90's and the next in the 70's. Crazy!!!

Love your pictures!

Hi, I'm Wanda. I am a happy woman, wife to Danny for...oh....lots a years and finally Mom to THE most adorable little girl from Hunan, China - Dahlia. And now we have been blessed again with another daughter, Milana, from Zhejiang, China. (The 2 best things I've ever done!) We live in the Montreal area. After a loooonnngg wait for Dahlia's little sister Milana (pronounced - Mee-lana, like banana), we finally brought her home in August 2009. Dahlia came to us in Nov 2004 (at 20 months of age)and a year later we began the application for another baby - at the time the waiting period was around 8 months. Almost 4 years later (say what!?!)we, at last, brought Milana home. This began as the story of our journey to bring Milana home and life with her big sister, Dahlia. It now continues as we live as a family of four!
God. My (growing) family. Hangin' out with my girlies. My wonderful friends (you know who you are!). To laugh (out loud and a lot!). Music. Painting. Hugs. Long chats with my buds. My garden. To read (ha...when I can!). Sunshine. Spring, Spring and more Spring. Building things. Cooking. Decorating. Parties (ahem). The internet. Life. Movies. A.I. Dancing with the stars. So you think you can dance. Travel. Umm..did I say laughing my head off. Oh Gee...everything actually!!
