TODAY! "I think I hear Jingle Bells."

...and we definately had our first Santa sighting.

Milana's B-day - Santa Parade 429

We still don't really have any snow to speak of.....

...but nothing can hold back our need to see the man in the red suit.

Milana's B-day - Santa Parade 394

During the (ever so humble, yet long) Santa Clause parade in downtown Montreal, Milana had to be held so she could see past the tall heads in front. Dahlia had prime real estate through a little opening between the crowd but Milana had to perch on top of the back of her stroller - but really she was dead weight in my arms. She even toppled over once but landed softly as the people were packed in so tight (Good thing!)

So, she was in one arm, my (heavy with zoom lens) camera held high in the other hand, trying to grab some kind of a shot. Result: blurry -at best - shots and one very tired set of arms.

Over all result: happy kids = happy mama.

And finally....the man in red himself. (Just as my arms were ready to give out.)

Oh Wanda! They are just precious. I love their little smiles! And, of course I adore the man of the hour. What fun.

We haven't taken the kids to see Santa yet. Maybe this weekend... we'll see. They did get their personal video message from Santa himself this week! You shd definitely check out http://www.portablenorthpole.tv/ and make ones for both Milana and Dahlia. You should have seen the look of wonder on both J's and Z's faces. :)

I LOVE your shot of the Christmas ornaments... beautiful!

Wow - what an incredible parade! And you are one talented momma, holding the youngest, keeping an eye on the oldest and snapping shots at the same time. Maybe I need to take lessons from you to get ready for this spring. *grin*

Awesome post and pics Wanda! For someone with tired arms you captured the day so well! Love your girls expressions while they're with Santa...so sweet!

We will be visiting Santa sometime soon. It will be a first for G and W. In the past they've been a little afraid. This year they have asked to go see the man in red.

Happy Tuesday!

Oh, I want to thank BMama too....I feel giddy with excitement and joy over just the idea of it!!!

And I studied your slice of the world with great interest ( well, like always!) :) and was tickled to see the variation in storefronts and parade entries up North! The balloon fellas rocked but the photo of your pretties with the jolly guy in red stole the show for me!!

We've been twice now(to see Santa).....but Grandma orchestrated the 2nd visit! :)

XOXO

No snow in Montral?! There was plenty when we went for NYE two years ago :) Wish I had known you then! Would've loved to spend time with you and your adorable little girls!

Looks like Mommy had her hands FULL....LITERALLY!! Great parade and it seems from these shots that the girls weren't too afraid of Mr. Claus....Milana looks pensive and Dahlia looks like she knows if you don't get the shot she'll be there all darned day (just like her soon to be hubby WonderBoy looks in most of my photos!)
Tis' the season, whether we're ready or NOT!

Hi, I'm Wanda. I am a happy woman, wife to Danny for...oh....lots a years and finally Mom to THE most adorable little girl from Hunan, China - Dahlia. And now we have been blessed again with another daughter, Milana, from Zhejiang, China. (The 2 best things I've ever done!) We live in the Montreal area. After a loooonnngg wait for Dahlia's little sister Milana (pronounced - Mee-lana, like banana), we finally brought her home in August 2009. Dahlia came to us in Nov 2004 (at 20 months of age)and a year later we began the application for another baby - at the time the waiting period was around 8 months. Almost 4 years later (say what!?!)we, at last, brought Milana home. This began as the story of our journey to bring Milana home and life with her big sister, Dahlia. It now continues as we live as a family of four!
God. My (growing) family. Hangin' out with my girlies. My wonderful friends (you know who you are!). To laugh (out loud and a lot!). Music. Painting. Hugs. Long chats with my buds. My garden. To read (ha...when I can!). Sunshine. Spring, Spring and more Spring. Building things. Cooking. Decorating. Parties (ahem). The internet. Life. Movies. A.I. Dancing with the stars. So you think you can dance. Travel. Umm..did I say laughing my head off. Oh Gee...everything actually!!
