Mother's Day - 2010

To May 10, 2010 043
There are so many mixed feelings that I have about Mother's Day.

For years I would bury my head in the sand and pretend it was just another day. (I'm an expert at denial - a state I find quite under-rated.)

Then finally, in 2004, I could fully rejoice.....I was finally a Mother - I could almost not believe it.

Still, it's a day when many Mothers are grieving for their children who are not with them.

And then, in 2007, I lost my own Mother......on Mother's day (what was she thinking???)

;)

Still, I am grateful for a Mother who gave us everything she could and I am so deeply grateful for this gift.

To be called "Mother"!

Since 2005 we always go for a little visit to my friend Helen's flower shop where we've taken pictures of our girlies every year but this one. We'll do that in a few weeks.

We did go out for our usual dinner - Mom's choice.

Susan,

It's Hot & Spicy. My fav. They serve sushi now too. For me, it doesn't get better than that.

You all look so beautiful together in that first picture! The only thing I missed out on was the margaritas. I am waiting for some good news. Hopefully, that will mean margaritas here too.

We are blessed.
