Tuesday - Around the world

Halloween ballet '11 089 wm

Halloween!!
The countdown began weeks ago. The excitement grew with each passing day. Candy definately takes center stage with my two girlies, but dress-up comes a close second.

(I'll post Monday nights Halloween pictures on Friday for Favorite Photo Friday but meanwhile Dahlia's ballet class last Friday had a little show they put on for the parents at the end of the class.)

It always amazes me that no two girls have the same costume. It's always like that.

Dahlia has been taking ballet since she was 3 years old. And always with her bff - Angel. They really could live in each others pockets

They've been together since almost birth. Inseparable.

(Forgive the shadows. I'm just too tired to remove them.)

Not to be left out - Milana wanted a little dance time of her own before we left the house. And had to dress up in something Chinese. This sweet little outfit is one I bought at the Silk Factory in Beijing and she has never worn it. (My bad!) It still fits but the style is a tad babyish.
Milana didn't mind!!

So the little dance was over and the girls were taking their bows.

And were rewarded with chocolate....of course. (It's Halloween....but any excuse will do.)

Dahlia's cheeks are full and there's a little evidence still on her lower lip.
(Be back on Friday for more dress-up fun.)

Link up below and/or visit some other spots around the world.

(Hands up whoever is still on a sugar-high from last night! Do you let the kids eat as much as they want in hopes they will get sick of it?

I've tried that but mine just don't seem to ever grow tired of the sugar-fest.)

Happy Tuesday!

xoxo

Hi, I'm Wanda. I am a happy woman, wife to Danny for...oh....lots a years and finally Mom to THE most adorable little girl from Hunan, China - Dahlia. And now we have been blessed again with another daughter, Milana, from Zhejiang, China. (The 2 best things I've ever done!) We live in the Montreal area. After a loooonnngg wait for Dahlia's little sister Milana (pronounced - Mee-lana, like banana), we finally brought her home in August 2009. Dahlia came to us in Nov 2004 (at 20 months of age)and a year later we began the application for another baby - at the time the waiting period was around 8 months. Almost 4 years later (say what!?!)we, at last, brought Milana home. This began as the story of our journey to bring Milana home and life with her big sister, Dahlia. It now continues as we live as a family of four!
God. My (growing) family. Hangin' out with my girlies. My wonderful friends (you know who you are!). To laugh (out loud and a lot!). Music. Painting. Hugs. Long chats with my buds. My garden. To read (ha...when I can!). Sunshine. Spring, Spring and more Spring. Building things. Cooking. Decorating. Parties (ahem). The internet. Life. Movies. A.I. Dancing with the stars. So you think you can dance. Travel. Umm..did I say laughing my head off. Oh Gee...everything actually!!
