Favorite Photo Friday

One look at these two "beauties" and we know we're in trouble. It was Dahlia's bff's 8th birthday recently and she rocked it out with 7 of her little friends to the theme of "Rock Star Photo shoot Party".

These two have been together almost since birth. They came from the same SWI in China and as close as sisters ever since.

But when I look at this picture - I almost shudder. How can 8 year olds look so mature? Ok...they're wearing a little glam make-up but still........where did the babies go?

My work pace has recently picked up so this "quickie"

Black and White Wednesday "My Party Girl"

Is there anything cuter than 8 giggily, gorgeous divaliscious 8 year old girls at a "Rock Star Photoshoot" Birthday Party?

Dressed to the max and all dolled up - these girls strutted their stuff as I snapped about 500 pictures while the CD player rocked out the beat.

(I can't show you the party or the others girls because I'm just editing those pics now and I need permission from their parents first. I'll probably put it up on my photography website soon. www.wandamalfaraphotography.com

It was Dahlia's BFF's birthday and her Mom sure knows how to throw a party worthy of these little divas.

(Wasn't there suppose to be a space between "princess" and "rock star divas"? Did I miss it?)

At one point as I was just trying to keep up with these girls and their diva-ing (ok, I'll admit I was having almost as much fun as they were), the Mom (who happens to be a very dear friend of mine) turned to me and exclaimed "you know, you have THE best job in the world, don't you?" and it dawned on me right there that she was right!!!

It was an A-Ha moment.

I am very grateful.

Studio is up and running !

...and we are ready to roll!!!

Hello....my name is Wanda

and

I'm

an

alcoholic

stuff-oholic!!

There! I said it.

But the good news is - I'm on the wagon.

The summer started with cleaning, purging and organizing the kids "stuff" (and I'm not proud to say that they were getting worse than me....eeeek!).

Then we started on my/our "stuff". I want to be able to work comfortably throughout the year as we have fabulous natural light in our loft and if I can move around and shoot with some distance, I needed to clear out a mess of "stuff".

So, that's exactly what I did.

It took just about the whole summer because I had a flurry of shoot to do and everyone booked all at once. I was happy for the business but it took forever to finish my "little" project.

With over 500 sq. feet of floor space and a 9 foot cathedral skylight, it really is a perfect studio. (Which is what it originally was built for till the kiddos took over.)

So, to celebrate my new space - and to launch the new fall season, I'm doing a give-away for local people (unless you see a roadtrip in your near future).
