Black and White Wednesday - " A Photo Shoot "

Bet you thought it would be of the kiddies again.

Nope!

This is Miss A. She is...well....gorgeous first of all, as you will see - a senior with an interest in modeling as a possible career. She needed a model's portfolio for her agency and I was looking for a fair eyed senior for my photography portfolio.
(I have more than enough dark eyes - needed some blue to mix it up a bit.)

I'll have all the color shots on my web-site soon but I sure had fun converting some of them to black and white. Either way - my camera loved this girl.

So without further adieu

I give you Miss (gorgeous) A !

Gorgeous B&W shots, Wanda!

I totally blame photo editing for my lacking at least 8 hours of sleep every night.

Thanks guys!!! I treasure your comments and will share them with Miss A too. (It's a good thing to know people find you stunning when you're starting off a modeling career.)

How did I edit 200 pics, you asked? Well - I had about 5 different light situations and since I was asked to do no touch-ups for her portfolio pics I made 5 pre-sets in Lightroom for the different lightings and click, click, click. For these b&w's - I sent them to PS and did some re-touching. Truth is - I'm finding PS kind of like my art palette and brushes. Yeah....havin' a little fun with it all.

What a gorgeous girl! This shoot will definitely help create a good portfolio for her, and for you! All of the photos have incredible clarity and contrast. I think my favorite is either the lipstick application or the pinstripe hat.

Yeah, bringin' up the REAR as usual, it's me...Dita Darling....feeling more like Dita Despicable that I haven't been 'round to my favorite Canadian blog (er, uh, my ONLY Canadian blog!) but yeah....its been...well, its been a BUSY couple of months!

So, what to say that hasn't been said...save...OMG...these are BEYOND AMAZING! First, no question Miss A is gorgeous beyond words but YOU, my dear....the poses...the one with ZiZi was right out of Vogue and the one looking through the plant...pure genius. You have an eye like no other...as if your artwork doesn't prove that to the entire universe...really, really, really special work here, my friend. What a great portfolio builder for BOTH of you!

Bon chance, mon amie..........

Hi, I'm Wanda. I am a happy woman, wife to Danny for...oh....lots a years and finally Mom to THE most adorable little girl from Hunan, China - Dahlia. And now we have been blessed again with another daughter, Milana, from Zhejiang, China. (The 2 best things I've ever done!) We live in the Montreal area. After a loooonnngg wait for Dahlia's little sister Milana (pronounced - Mee-lana, like banana), we finally brought her home in August 2009. Dahlia came to us in Nov 2004 (at 20 months of age)and a year later we began the application for another baby - at the time the waiting period was around 8 months. Almost 4 years later (say what!?!)we, at last, brought Milana home. This began as the story of our journey to bring Milana home and life with her big sister, Dahlia. It now continues as we live as a family of four!
God. My (growing) family. Hangin' out with my girlies. My wonderful friends (you know who you are!). To laugh (out loud and a lot!). Music. Painting. Hugs. Long chats with my buds. My garden. To read (ha...when I can!). Sunshine. Spring, Spring and more Spring. Building things. Cooking. Decorating. Parties (ahem). The internet. Life. Movies. A.I. Dancing with the stars. So you think you can dance. Travel. Umm..did I say laughing my head off. Oh Gee...everything actually!!
