Black and White Wednesday

Time to play around with some black and white conversions. I picked three of my favorite shots of a fun little session I had with a boa and my darlin'.

I just can't get enough of that face!!! (That face that very soon will be missing a front tooth......sniff..........that's me sniffing.)

Update: At 2:30 in the morning, an excited, bouncing Dahlia jumped on our bed shouting....Mommy,Daddy,Mommy....my tooth came out. She was euphoric and we were all up for at least an hour after that!!

It's funny, I think I mentioned in my first post of Lisa's black and white challenge that I had never really been a fan of black and white photography. I've had a 180 degree turn-around. These pictures are in a soft pink, which is so pretty, but in blk&wh they just feel so different. I love the contrast and how the white just pops.

And here are some more pics of our China trip.

Don't miss all the other black and white fun at Lisa's blog here.

And come on back here on Monday, March 1st, for my 1 year blogiversary give-away. If you missed them, the hints are here and here.

Aww - how precious are your boa shot! Just perfect! I did a boa shot with my daughter when she was a newborn but I think that I have to wait a little bit before I try again. Or else I would be plucking the feathers out of her mouth constantly! Love it!

Wonderful pictures - thanks for visiting my site! What a beautiful family!

OK, why does everyone have a boa but me? I used to have feather dusters in hot pink and neon green, but not the same effect and they've all been retired for swiffers.

You couldn't take a bad picture if you tried, you and your family are just lovely.

I am starting to appreciate the b&w also. They bring drama and detail in sharp focus.

I hope your week is going well.

Love Valerie

Hi, I'm Wanda. I am a happy woman, wife to Danny for...oh....lots a years and finally Mom to THE most adorable little girl from Hunan, China - Dahlia. And now we have been blessed again with another daughter, Milana, from Zhejiang, China. (The 2 best things I've ever done!) We live in the Montreal area. After a loooonnngg wait for Dahlia's little sister Milana (pronounced - Mee-lana, like banana), we finally brought her home in August 2009. Dahlia came to us in Nov 2004 (at 20 months of age)and a year later we began the application for another baby - at the time the waiting period was around 8 months. Almost 4 years later (say what!?!)we, at last, brought Milana home. This began as the story of our journey to bring Milana home and life with her big sister, Dahlia. It now continues as we live as a family of four!
God. My (growing) family. Hangin' out with my girlies. My wonderful friends (you know who you are!). To laugh (out loud and a lot!). Music. Painting. Hugs. Long chats with my buds. My garden. To read (ha...when I can!). Sunshine. Spring, Spring and more Spring. Building things. Cooking. Decorating. Parties (ahem). The internet. Life. Movies. A.I. Dancing with the stars. So you think you can dance. Travel. Umm..did I say laughing my head off. Oh Gee...everything actually!!
