Black and White Wednesday

Hosted by Lisa from The Long Road to China.

Nothing can touch this mama's heart more than a tender moment between these two.

Is it just me or is Dahlia thinking - ..'k, mom, are you getting this?

My little monkeys.

This was taken on Dahlia's 5th Gotcha Day last November. I thought it would be interesting to see how it converted to black and white.

And as I've done the last few weeks, I chose a few pix from our trip to China last August.

Hangzhou, Zhejiang

Our hotel lobby during one of our many Dahlia and Mommy breaks.

So, I finally uploaded my pictures through Flickr. Yeah!!! And I choose the largest format, aligned center. But I think it loaded on the post all over the place and I'm only publishing this, postdated, for the middle of the night so I'm not sure how this is going to look. So, if it's wonky....you'll know why. I'll fix it eventually. (For some reason I can't even get my script to align center.) Update: I figured it out but will leave it for now. Future posts will be correct. Thank you for your continued patience. :)

Meanwhile, make sure you spend some time at Lisa's here for some wonderful black and white photography. She has inspired so many to join in the fun!

And Happy Wednesday!

And China is a place I am hoping to go to in a year or two..My mil(who is Chinese and has gone back many times) insists it would be too hard a trip with 5 kiddies(one of which is 18 mts)...
So in a year or two...I am hoping we will be able to take our family..

Hi Wanda, Thanks for leaving that comment about the pantie mal-function on my blog. I will change my judging criteria from the number of thumbs up to how many panty changes are required per post!

These pictures are so lovely, I love kissing siblings pictures. The one of you is just stunning, you must have modeled at some time in your life, the camera loves you; as it should.

These are all gorgeous Wanda, I especially love the ones of your 2 sweet girls and you too. And you know I adore any image of China and love how you've converted them to black and white. hmmm...now you've inspired me to try doing that with a few of ours from 18 mos. ago in China.

Have a great rest of your day!

Absolutely gorgeous pics! I love the one of your little girl looking right at you as she's kissing her sister. Adorable.

I noticed that you follow many of the same blogs as I do, so I wanted to say, "Bonjour." and introduce myself. Montréal is one of my favorite cities, in fact QC has a special place in my heart, I'll have to blog about that some time!

Hi, I'm Wanda. I am a happy woman, wife to Danny for...oh....lots a years and finally Mom to THE most adorable little girl from Hunan, China - Dahlia. And now we have been blessed again with another daughter, Milana, from Zhejiang, China. (The 2 best things I've ever done!) We live in the Montreal area. After a loooonnngg wait for Dahlia's little sister Milana (pronounced - Mee-lana, like banana), we finally brought her home in August 2009. Dahlia came to us in Nov 2004 (at 20 months of age)and a year later we began the application for another baby - at the time the waiting period was around 8 months. Almost 4 years later (say what!?!)we, at last, brought Milana home. This began as the story of our journey to bring Milana home and life with her big sister, Dahlia. It now continues as we live as a family of four!
God. My (growing) family. Hangin' out with my girlies. My wonderful friends (you know who you are!). To laugh (out loud and a lot!). Music. Painting. Hugs. Long chats with my buds. My garden. To read (ha...when I can!). Sunshine. Spring, Spring and more Spring. Building things. Cooking. Decorating. Parties (ahem). The internet. Life. Movies. A.I. Dancing with the stars. So you think you can dance. Travel. Umm..did I say laughing my head off. Oh Gee...everything actually!!
