There! I said it.
But the good news is - I'm on the wagon.
The summer started with cleaning, purging and organizing the kids "stuff" (and I'm not proud to say that they were getting worse than me....eeeek!).
Then we started on my/our "stuff". I want to be able to work comfortably throughout the year as we have fabulous natural light in our loft and if I can move around and shoot with some distance, I needed to clear out a mess of "stuff".
So, that's exactly what I did.
It took just about the whole summer because I had a flurry of shoot to do and everyone booked all at once. I was happy for the business but it took forever to finish my "little" project.
With over 500 sq. feet of floor space and a 9 foot cathedral skylight, it really is a perfect studio. (Which is what it originally was built for till the kiddos took over.)
So, to celebrate my new space - and to launch the new fall season, I'm doing a give-away for local people (unless you see a roadtrip in your near future).

Hi, I'm Wanda. I am a happy woman, wife to Danny for...oh....lots a years and finally Mom to THE most adorable little girl from Hunan, China - Dahlia. And now we have been blessed again with another daughter, Milana, from Zhejiang, China. (The 2 best things I've ever done!)
We live in the Montreal area. After a loooonnngg wait for Dahlia's little sister Milana (pronounced - Mee-lana, like banana), we finally brought her home in August 2009. Dahlia came to us in Nov 2004 (at 20 months of age)and a year later we began the application for another baby - at the time the waiting period was around 8 months. Almost 4 years later (say what!?!)we, at last, brought Milana home.
This began as the story of our journey to bring Milana home and life with her big sister, Dahlia. It now continues as we live as a family of four!

It looks so, so perfect! I would kill for that space. People tend to think it is funny when I set everything up in my kitchen, but hey, it works! I love, love, love your flooring!
Faith Hope Love - my floors are "pickled". I spent about 3 days on my hands and knees (a few years ago)painting a rubbing and polishing. It was worth it. Hides multitude of sins. lol

oooooooooOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH LA LAAAAAAAAAAAAAA........how EVER did I miss THIS??? I knew you said you were setting up a new desk but this...well, this is just over the top!
Your studio (which I am proud to say I've been in SEVERAL times...ok, in one weekend but that counts!) is beyond the pale!! I absolutely love every single thing about it and your desk is fantastic...so workable! When EVER did you collect all that cool photographer gear and not tell me about it all? I love it...just LOVE it. I want details and then I need you to figure out how to carve out 500 MORE square feet in my house to do the same (NOT POSSIBLE< I know!)...well, a girl can dream, can't she?
