Black and White Wednesday "Up North"

Zzzzing! Where did that week go?

I've got so many posts that haven't yet made it here - they may just be old news and I'll have to sneak them in without you looking.

Between the drama (of the highest order no less) of Dahlia finally losing her second front top tooth - oi vey - it took all my self-control not to yank that baby out of there and end our her misery!

and

attending Dahlia's 4th (that's fourth, people) ballet recital - the week just flew.

So we grabbed a few hours late Sunday afternoon and headed up north to Mr Tremblant for an over-nighter as Dahlia had a school day off on Monday.

And I grabbed (hmmmm....doing a lot of grabbing lately. What does that mean?) a few pictures while we were there.

Ballet-Tremblant 086
This was the view from our balcony at about 8:45 in the evening.
Ballet-Tremblant 085-2
Had to show you the color of the sky.
Ballet-Tremblant 085

Ballet-Tremblant 091
OK....one more time.
Ballet-Tremblant 091-2
...and this was the next morning.
Ballet-Tremblant 097
Some great architecture. (Felicia...are you drooling?)
Ballet-Tremblant 104

Ballet-Tremblant 106

Ballet-Tremblant 107
And look who wants out? "Hey Mom....what's out there?"
Ballet-Tremblant 114-2

Ballet-Tremblant 116-2

Ballet-Tremblant 121-2

Ballet-Tremblant 130-2
OK....all together now...

"AWWWHHHhhhh........."
:)

Don't forget to scoot on over to Lisa's for some great photography.

the long road

I have a whack of photos from our tiny trip to Tremblant that I'll post later in the week in color.

That is, if this week doesn't zzzzzing by me!

I'm super behind on my blog posting too. Totally failed to blog about Kindergarten graduation! Bad blogger mommy!

Your photos are beautiful (as always). All of the lines and angles and corners on buildings play up so well with the stark contrasts of black and white.

Love the door reflections too!

See you in 7 weeks! ;)

What a week indeed!!!!!

How exciting Dahlia! In one week you lost your tooth AND you had a dance recital!!!!!!!! Way to go Sweetie Pie!

Now, seriously Wanda... I bet that your week has indeed raced by! And your heart along with it! I can understand the drama involved in the 'glorious' loose tooth adventures! And the swell of all the emotions involved in watching our little ladies in a recital is incredible.

I LOVE the photots of your getaway! As always, I sighed at the sheer cuteness factor of your little ladies!!!!

Enjoy! xoxxo

Hope you're having a great week!

What a beautiful town to escape to! However, as beautiful as it is, the beauty of the town can't compete with the view INTO the windows and those 2 cutie pies on the balcony. Glad you had fun.

oooooohhhhhhh love all the beautiful architecture, perfect in b&w (though I do love seeing the gorgeous skies!)- but your beautiful girls is my fave :)

I'm always behind posting. I've given up.

Hey Wanda! I used to sing when I did theater. I am more of a character than anything! I love to perform! But I have never considered myself a singer. I just love to sing, especially with my daughter and when I taught elementary school. I sing with my daughter all day long! I am more of an actress and my gift is dancing. I just ended up doing a lot of musicals and of course that included singing! That is wonderful that you are a singer! Your children must love it! Tell me more about it when you can! Have a great night!

Hi, I'm Wanda. I am a happy woman, wife to Danny for...oh....lots a years and finally Mom to THE most adorable little girl from Hunan, China - Dahlia. And now we have been blessed again with another daughter, Milana, from Zhejiang, China. (The 2 best things I've ever done!) We live in the Montreal area. After a loooonnngg wait for Dahlia's little sister Milana (pronounced - Mee-lana, like banana), we finally brought her home in August 2009. Dahlia came to us in Nov 2004 (at 20 months of age)and a year later we began the application for another baby - at the time the waiting period was around 8 months. Almost 4 years later (say what!?!)we, at last, brought Milana home. This began as the story of our journey to bring Milana home and life with her big sister, Dahlia. It now continues as we live as a family of four!
God. My (growing) family. Hangin' out with my girlies. My wonderful friends (you know who you are!). To laugh (out loud and a lot!). Music. Painting. Hugs. Long chats with my buds. My garden. To read (ha...when I can!). Sunshine. Spring, Spring and more Spring. Building things. Cooking. Decorating. Parties (ahem). The internet. Life. Movies. A.I. Dancing with the stars. So you think you can dance. Travel. Umm..did I say laughing my head off. Oh Gee...everything actually!!
